Stride Fitness Nordic Pole Walking Programs are a fun and effective way to train your entire body, including your core. It’s total body fitness anytime, anywhere, any season!
Correct technique significantly increases the effectiveness of Nordic Pole Walking as well as decreasing the risk of repetitive muscle and tendon strain. Certain techniques are also more suitable depending on your personal needs and goals. If you’re at a high fitness level and ready to increase the intensity of your workout, you may want to add some advanced techniques or try Nordic Running.
Nordic Pole Walking Intro Clinic ~ 1 HourLearn about the amazing benefits of Nordic Pole Walking, how to choose the correct pole length, strap in, and the basic technique. Demo poles are available for you. Just bring a friend and have fun! The clinic is $10 and additional intro sessions are complimentary. If you purchase walking poles from Stride Fitness, your intro clinic is complimentary. Pre-registration is required. To use your poles effectively for maximum benefit I recommend the Learn to Nordic Walk 4 or 6 Week Program.
Learn to Nordic Pole Walk 4 or 6 Week Clinic
Stride Fitness turns your walk into fun, effective, total body exercise! Starting with the basics, we progress through Nordic Pole Walking technique step by step. You will learn how to use your poles effectively for maximum benefit and become a confident Nordic Pole Walker. Demo poles are available for you. Includes clinic outline, walking log, weekly education session and email. 4 week clinic $35 / 6 week clinic $45.
Okanagan Marathon Nordic Pole Walk 10K or Half Marathon ClinicsDo you enjoy working toward a goal? Are you looking for a fun and effective way to increase your fitness? During these 12-week clinics you will learn effective Nordic Walking technique for maximum benefit as you increase your distance. You will be ready to participate in the Okanagan International Marathon 10K or Half Marathon walk event on October 10, 2010 if you wish. Demo poles are available. Includes clinic outline, walking log, weekly education session and email.
Stride and Strength ~ 1 HourBuild cardio endurance and strength as you fine-tune technique. Class includes optional intervals and exercises, accommodates various fitness levels and is an effective calorie burner! Knowledge of Nordic Walking required.

Join us for an early morning walk to inspire and invigorate you. Laugh a little, learn a little, meet others, be fit, and feel great! The total body coordination of Nordic Walking positively influences the mind, body, and spirit. A Stride Fitness Adventure Walk is a perfect opportunity to focus on you and increase all aspects of health and wellness.
Our walk begins with a warm up and a loop for those who would like a shorter distance and then continues for 1 hour. We end with a stretch (1 hour option). Everyone is welcome including non-Nordic Walkers. This walk is complimentary.
